The meeting gathered the International Coordinators of Y-PEER, Alumni of Y-PEER, the international Y-PEER Fellows, the Representatives of the International Institute for Youth Development PETRI – Sofia, Bulgaria, UNFPA EECA, the Y-PEER International Center for Youth Development – the National Center for Culture and Arts- Amman, Jordan, Y-PEER Asia Pacific Center – Bangkok, Thailand and UNFPA Egypt.

During the meeting we exchanged our information and experiences and we shared innovative activities and good examples of supporting young people and youth advocates. As well as we set up Y-PEER Priorities for 2018-2021 based on the national networks need, Y-PEER International Strategic Plan 2018-2021 and Y-PEER International Action plan 2018-2019.

We had an online call with Mr. Rune Brandrup Youth Program Specialist at UNFPA Eastern Europe & Central Asia. Mr. Brandrup shared with us the UNFPA strategies about the development and empowerment of young people in the region and we discussed with him their vision on the Y-PEER development in the changing regional and global context.

The attendees discussed the opportunities of the foundation and how it will support the Y-PEER Strategic Plan for the next three years.
In terms of the foundation, we identified donors that we could address them through some concept notes and proposals that we developed in the meeting according to Y-PEER Priorities.

At the end of the meeting, Y-PEER Network planned for our upcoming international 10 Days of Activism Campaign, which will take place from the 1st of December (World AIDS Day) to the 10th of December (World Human Rights Day). This year’s theme will be “Youth in Action for Safety and Equality” and will focus on Youth involvement and leadership.
