47 stories from 13 countries. How is #YPEERSpaces changing lives?

12 August was first designated International Youth Day by the UN General Assembly in 1999, and serves as an annual celebration of the role of young women and men as essential partners in change, and an opportunity to raise awareness of challenges and problems facing the world’s youth.
This year celebration events around the world were conducted under unified motto “Safe Spaces for Youth“, on that occasion the three regional centers of Y-PEER: PETRI – Sofia, Asia Pacific Center & ICYD – Amman, executed an online campaign through Y-PEER‘s official social media channels, entitled as #YPEERSpaces. The campaign lasted during the whole month of August, and aimed to share stories of activists who are actively working on their personalities and directly contributing for better communities by involving in their national Y-PEER networks.
We had received 47 stories from activists coming from: Afghanistan, Australia, Bhutan, Fiji, Iraq, Laos, Libya, Macedonia, Nepal, Palestine, Philippines, Turkey, Vietnam. Thank you everyone for taking a part!
